Frequently Asked Questions

What is Paintless Dent Removal (PDR)

PDR is a highly skilled process in which minor dings and dents are removed from your vehicle’s exterior without the costly and time consuming need of a traditional body shop. Highly trained and qualified PDR technicians use specialized dent removal tools to work the inside skin of your vehicle’s sheet metal, restoring the metal to its original shape without any damage to the paint.

Will it work on any vehicle?

PDR can repair dings and dents on any panel of any metal vehicle. If paint is chipped or scratched, the paint may need touched up or polished to take out scratches after the dent is removed.

What size of dent can be repaired?

Most non-collision dents can be repaired with PDR. Door dings and hail damage can be permanently removed without any signs of a repair. Repairs on larger dents or sharper dings can be detected only by a trained eye.

Is PDR covered by my insurance?

In most cases, yes. However, minor dents (such as door dings and shopping cart dents) cost less to remove than a typical insurance deductible. Plus, if the repair is not reported to insurance, the vehicle will not show up on future “crash” reports (like CarFax®) as having been damaged in an accident.

Will having PDR done to my car decrease its value?

In most cases no; with our specialized metal-working tools, we can usually access the damage and repair the dent without ever removing door panels.

Can dings only be removed from doors?

No way! You can remove dings from all panels including the roof, doors, trunk, fenders, and hood. We even repair motorcycle gas tanks.

Will you need to remove a door panel?

In most cases no; with our specialized metal-working tools, we can usually access the damage and repair the dent without ever removing door panels.

How long does a repair take?

Typically, PDR technicians can repair minor dents in under an hour. Depending on the amount and severity of the damage, many repairs can be made while you wait.
